There is more whole bunch (70%) in the 2016 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru les Champonnets， the highest used by the domaine in this growing season. Now this has a very mineral-driven bouquet， terse and linear at first， though the fruit soon comes to the surface―blackberries， briary and a hint of cassis. This is very seductive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin， well-judged acidity， quite sappy and Saint with hints of black olive and oyster shells towards the finish that carries good weight and persistence. It will need 3 or 4 years in bottle， but it will be worth the wait. Expect it to land at the top of my banded score.

粘土が多く、砂利も含まれる土壌。1972年植樹。熟成は新樽35～40%で16～18ヶ月。 奥深い濃密なワインで個性をしっかりと感じます。軽やかなフローラルの特徴を感じ、熟成に適しています。
